Markus Blaschka

After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Dipl.-Ing. Markus Blaschka held various management positions in the field of automated and complex logistics systems at well-known e-commerce companies, retailers, industry and system integrators. His main areas of activity covered the entire logistics process chain, starting with analysis, sales, planning, realization and operations, to after-sales and retrofit. In addition to his professional career, Blaschka was on the advisory board of the industrial advisory committee for the new logistics course at Ulm University of Applied Sciences. He also lectures at various universities specializing in logistics systems and is co-author of the reference book ‘Kommissionierung: Effizient picken und packen’.

Presentation

Integrated solutions of intelligent logistics equipment for the Modular Sortation Center

Efficiency, flexibility and scaleability play a central role in hub processes. In addition to high throughputs, a wide range of articles, availability of over 99% with low investment (capex) and operating costs (opex), it is a particular challenge for modern sorting systems to fulfill these requirements using a modular approach with robust, proven and scalable subsystems. In his presentation, Markus Blaschka, sales director DACH at Wayzim, will examine various robust and proven components such as matrix solutions, 2D bulk singulators and narrow belt and crossbelt sorters in detail and discuss their advantages, even for complex requirements. Blaschka will also provide answers to how these subsystems can be combined into a scalable and flexible material handling system through sensible and structured selection.
