At this year’s Parcel+Post Expo, Beumer Group will show how the latest automation solutions and IT technologies can bring great benefits to the post and parcel industry. The focus is on the intelligent use of data-based knowledge and pouch technology.
The Global Diagnostic Center from Beumer Group is a new service launched to enable customers to monitor, analyze and predict their processes based on ‘live’ data. This solution enables users to respond proactively to automatically generated optimization suggestions based on extensive data capture and the experience of material handling experts. The service revolves around three cornerstones: improve, prevent and insure. This means that Beumer presents its customers with new options for minimizing downtime, improving efficiency and saving costs.
Distribution centers have long had to deal with the problem of small parcels that are not easily handled by the usual automated sorting equipment. But with the continued growth of global e-commerce, small parcels are becoming even more problematic for CEP companies. At Parcel+Post-Expo, Beumer Group will showcase how pouch systems are becoming an alternative technology that can solve the small-parcel problem.
