Direct4.me’s latest innovation not only addresses these needs but also sets new standards for convenience and flexibility. The Direct4 Smart locker boasts a compact design with a mere 1m² footprint, allowing it to be placed virtually anywhere.
Everyone wants battery-powered lockers to have the same functionality as traditional grid-powered lockers. However, the challenge lies in the power supply of the battery locker. From exterior illumination to peripherals like cameras, printers, scanners and screens, the battery drain can be significant.
To solve this challenge, Direct4.me has developed innovative power management solutions, involving a shift from a single battery to a battery array supported by solar panels. The advanced power management system controls the power use of different components, including the camera surveillance.
As expo visitors will be able to see for themselves, the Direct4 Smart model also features a color touchscreen for PIN access for couriers and customers, who can select pickup and sending options and more. It also offers 4G connectivity, a barcode scanner, camera surveillance system and a POS terminal, enabling customers to pay for parcels with a credit card (COD parcels).
